Make friends and Choose Happiness

We all need to have friends. It is just a fact of life. There are many things we do by ourselves, but let’s face it, having someone to share things with is much more fun.
We have all had what we call friends come and go as we pass through life. How many people have really had a true friend for life? Let’s face it true real friends are hard to find and it is a relationship that you do have to put time into.
What do friends do that money can’t buy. Share experience, strengthen each other, dream and hope together and a true friend will give you honest feedback alone the way.
Start by spending time with people that inspire, respect you and accept you for who you really are and see if there is a true friendship that can be found with them.
Try these principles for finding those special people in your life.
1. First of all know a person well before calling them a friend. Don’t use the term so lightly. Learn about them and their values.
2. Start by building that relationship on mutual respect for one another.
3. You have to know how to be a friend if you want to have a friend. You have to be trust worthy and a good listener yourself.
4. Know when to respect their space, but let them know that you will be there if they need you to be.
 5. Give time to the friendship with honesty and loyalty. Never try to change them, but help guide them if need be and they do the same for you.

Use these principles to find that true friend and always remember that a real friend is someone who brings out the best in you and you do the same for them in all of life’s challenges. Once you find this person enjoy them and always find the time for them. That friendship is worth its weight in gold.
